Pascale H. Lane, MD, is a pediatric nephrologist in academic medicine. Through her career at a number of academic medical centers in the middle of the US, she became concerned with the plight of women in the ivory tower.
In 2010 she began a journey as a delegate for Vision2020 and decided that we needed to stop merely addressing this issue in scholarly journals. The time had arrived to illustrate deficiencies online, to call out those who would hold women back, and to congratulate those who are ahead of the curve on the road to equality.
